If you listened to some people all you have to do is sit in them ::)
HAMMOND'S F1 DRIVE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGUZJVY-sHo&feature=fvw)

That was excellent. Nearly as easy as riding a 500GP bike and beating Barry Sheene !
-
I did like the part where he said " I would have to go faster to get this to work, then even faster to get that to work, then faster agin to get something else to work, and finaly faster again to get them all to work together" ;D
-
I liked the look in his eyes as he held the throttle wide open for the first time. :o
The Top Gear guys really do have the best job in the world!!
I wonder if they have considered adding a 'Slow, old Stig' to the show. That could be me!!

Remind's me of watching Mick Doohan and Tommy Makinen getting a drive in a Ferrari F1 a few years ago. Neither one made a lap before losing it. Tommy snotted a fence too. :P
If guys with that sort of motorsport experience had trouble, there wouldn't be a lot of point in someone like me going for a spin. ::)

I think that would be a long line of prospective Stigs for that job ;D
Of course Tony the average punter would actualy be lucky to fit in an F1 car let alone drive one, but would be awesome to drive a car that is so sharp in every respect. Just to get an idea of good you would have to be to grab it by the scruff of the neck.
The team certainly didn't cut him any slack either ;D

Yeah, but it wouldn't be so sharp with me at the wheel. (Dunno about you.......) :D Apart from straight line speed, it would feel like a heap of shit, I reckon.
Just as Hammond found, not many on the planet have the skill to get one of those things to 'work'.
