Alan , ODDI wants to know what letter goes on the number plate . Because there is no pre 90 class for champion ships at this stage , there has not been a letter allocated yet , I believe . ;)
Yes.
Also Hoony, 1985 model Yammies are N models. L was 1984.

Seriously... So you can't use any letter that looks like a number (think of the lap scorers... won't somebody think of the lap scorers!).
This rules out I, O, Q and Z.
A, N, H, X, Z, E and Y have already been used.
This leaves:
B, C, D, F, G, J, K, L, M, P, R, S, T, U, V, and W.
F looks too much like E, M & W look too much like N.
Of those, B, C, G, P and S are a bitch to cut out and should be avoided.
So its gonna have to be D, J, K, L, P, R, T, U or V, by my reckoning.
I'd go for D or L simply because pre-90 was the era when Leisk and Dack were kicking arse.
(Post made after a few beers. Oversights and screw-ups not my fault).

M for Modern? ;)
Should be M for 'My God, you're kidding aren't you?'
nb: As per the previous post, I've had a glass of beer too..................
