For the fans of both Husky and Yamaha there is 83 XC500 repowered with YZ490 engine in the lastest Classic Dirt bike magazine, follows on nicely from last months CR500 powered MC490  ;D

Actually it is pretty decent job and the 490 mill looks at home in there.

Been done, I seem to remember Street Machine magazine dropping 186 red motor into GTHO Falcon..... article was called '6 In A Row HO'  ;D

A mate of ours used to have a 289 Ford powered FJ ute......it fits nicer than a Chevy if you use a Holden red motor water pump (no bullshit). :o

A hybrid like this would be interesting to ride/test - to see how much of the bike's character and handling characteristics is because of the engine compared to the chassis.

well as it turns out I have such a XC rolling chassis and i know this guy with too many RM465 motors..... hmmm Suzivarna
