Title: YZ125X / 125C Left CrankCase. & Cover. Will take whole motor..
Post by: steveo247 on August 19, 2010, 10:23:59 am
gday,

I'm looking for an undamaged left hand crankcase for my 125X.
Mine has been smashed from a chain and i'm hoping to find another good one, and use my mangled one for the race bike.

Im also looking for the crankcase cover for that side. T
heres a few on ebay, but if i can not have to ship these out from america id be much happier!

The crankcases are the same on the 125C and X, and i think the A/B cases would fit too? (can someone help with that?)
I'll take a whole motor if i need too!

Contact me on here,
or email on [email protected]

thanks very much.
steve.

A/B will be different.
externally the magneto cover is different, internally i'm unsure.
i'm led to believe the TY175 is the same as the C/X but as usual, i've been wrong before.

Dad thought that too. I can only go off part numbers, and they are different?

YZ125C/X and probably TY175 are the same.

The other likely candidates (DT, earlier/later YZes etc) are all different, in one way or another (usually relating to the shift drum and/or the rods the shift forks slide along, at least).

I've got a spare YZ-C case, but will have to confirm condition before making any big promises.
May also have a spare ignition cover too.

YES THEY ARE.

Here is a recent one I repaired

machined weldable piece.

welded, prior to invisible machining finish and dremal finish.

Run a twenty mm reamer through the finished repair, beautiful ;).
