Hi i brought a kx 125 the other day was told had rebuilt motor(ha)they all say that, but starts first kick but when started revs at full throttle and wont back off, i pulled the carb apart but looks ok,does have a small hole in bottom of carb where the breather has rubbed through, throttle does work springs back etc not sure what else it could be????????thanks

Dumb question but the slide is in the right way??
Just a thought. :)

Pull the carb out, with the cable attached, and make sure the slide is actually closing.
Where is the hole? If it allows air into the motor when the throttle is shut, then it will be your problem. One of the many 'expoxy putty' products (Knead It, Metal Mend, etc) should be able to make a decent repair - but make sure the surface is spotless, and make sure that if the repair does fail that it won't suck the stuff into your motor...
