Is that "Beyond Thunderdome" in the early days?

No Hoony,
               that is / was the Mount Cottrell track which was home to the junior track and the ACU track.

That`s a race Monaro, one of the very first back in 82 with a brand new track we just finished. That place is called Rockbank for a good reason,the more rocks you pull out the more pop up.

As shitty as the track was, it was the closest MA sanctioned track, to the Melbourne CBD for quite some time. Unfortunately (or fortunate, depending on your views), the track was wound up by the Melton Shire in June '09 due to "environmental concerns".

The track hosted all sorts of meetings, from casual all the way to State level MX and Enduro. I have a lot of fond memories of that track, having been a past President, Vice president and committee member.

Hey by any chance do anyone know steven peters or his sister sally i use ride at melton back in the 70s when it was a mini bike track my dad had a bit do with the club back then would like to contact them as I live in the states. Lewis Hoskins
