well it may have been discussed but I am pretty impressed by the Folden
I mean it reminds me of the '6 in a row' GTHO that was in one of my Aussie car magazines years ago, combining some rough old Super Roo thing with the might of the 202 red block. ;D

in the late 70s the thing to do to your holden hq or hj pannel van was fit mer lights and grills to the front so thats not all that new.also corvet bonnet scopes as well

Marc , still driving a 1978 Holden Tonner with the mighty 202 twelve port and bugger me how I love it !!! Yes do have a latish model Kia that is fuel efficient, has power everything, climate control, is quiet and comfortable to drive etc etc etc but it is so fooking boring... ;)

Somewhat related to the gt stories. approx 12 years ago A mate of mine was lookin for a reasonably straight XW or XY, even a six cylinder would get his project going. He visited the dodgy caryard near american autos at homebush, maybe Ray Dyson Autos where sat a 6 cyl xw auto. as he looked over the car he saw the GT dash, under the back was a 9 inch and he noted jg33 on the ID plate. need less to say he paid the $2500 for the car and drove it out. Turns out some one had blown the 351 and placed a 6 cyl to get around. He now has his own real XW GT which he painted and fitted a 351 non 4v but still the same a very special car. Just think how many young blokes had been shafted by caryards over the years, Micky stuck it up them.

4v is a lot different to 2v the ports are a lot larger you can make gt's that is the scary thing when considering buying one because of the ability to make one you can easily blow $100,000 on one 4v is engraved in the heads you can tell them from 2v the 4v heads can set you back $3000 easy but if the car sells for a motza they don't care. you can easy weld and stamp the original numbers back into a block don't think half the gt's you see are real that is what has stuffed them mock ups hurt the original gt's and investors hurt the gt enthusiast there is nothing wrong with a falcon/fairmont 6 or 8 when you see them you know they are what they are.

Great cars those old One Tonners.
I had a 253 4 speed HQ one tonner which was a really fun car but I buggered it by fitting an LS5 454 Chevy big block, tricked up T400 and a Chevelle 12bolt rear end. The thing ripped but as soon as the slightest bit of moisture hit the road the car became a lethal death trap. I'd been bad enough in the wet with the 253 but with 450 plus HP it became almost undrivable.
I sold it to a bloke who wanted it to tow his boat and never saw it again. I wish I'd kept the engine and stuck into something sensible.
