I aquired this yesterday and am at a loss of what to do with it. Extensive research (5 minutes on Google) supports my initial belief that it is a 1982 Kawasaki KX125 B1 (don't mind if I do B2) and please correct em if I am wrong, complete with 41 mm forks, unitrac rear, Icecream bucket rear linkage guards. Was hoping to adapt the front disk brake to one of my other needy projects but 41 mm is an odd size, and I do not want the hassel of milling out my triple grip.
I have never had the pleasure of owning a Kawasaki before.
Should I
A. Drive a dozer over it and bury it.
B. Burn it on a full moon and conduct a cleansing ceremony in my shed.
C. Restore it.
D. Put the SL100 engine that came with it into it for an awsome pitbike.
E. Share it with someone else that appeciates it.

piss funny options :D
sourcing parts to restore this one i would expect to be a challenge
-
If you go the cleansing option dont forget to sprinkle salt over its carcass to liberate any malicious spirit (its true - those Kwackas often had something nasty hiding in the geometry of the frames :o).
-
I'd forgotten about the salt. Thanks. Would do no good to burn it just to find it back exactly the same the following day.

Ahhhh
I know a home it could go to........
Can replace it with Beer if that helps lessen the pain

I have it on good authority that if you kiss a green kawasaki it will turn it into a beautiful yellow Suzuki princess. ;D
If you do it after midnight it turns into one of those Honda pumpkins and as ugly as a mother in-laws kiss. :o

while you make your mind up i would suggest a string of Garlic on the handle bars as a precaution

I keep em all. :)
The son can figure it all out. :)

I should not keep it. I have a problem with old broken things. I crave to make them new (ish). Stems from my younger days wandering around my uncles car wreckers. Looking at the unwanted cars, most of which were one day someones brand spanking pride and joy.
If I keep it, I will see a part for it and buy the part. The wife will get angry. Then I will have to sell it all and I always seem to loose out in the wallet department.
Keeping it can only lead to bad things. But it would be nice to have a complete set of 82 jap 125s. Could do my own shootouts and fix it so the Yamaha always wins. I now have one and a bit of my collection complete if I go that way.

Sell the parts.
If you want an early 80's Jap 125 buy it complete or nearly complete. It ends up cheaper than buying an airbox for $50 + $20 postage, a rear wheel for $100 plus $20 for postage etc etc.

I would be keen on swinging arm and linkage :) pm me a price if keen .
