Title: Frame & swingarm blast and paint in Brisbane
Post by: PEZBerq on July 20, 2010, 07:45:58 pm
Was quoted $450 today for a blast and paint of a frame and swingarm by a specialist motorcycle paint shop.  Thought it was daylight robbery so looking for recommendations for a reasonably priced VMX friendly blasting and painting services in Brisbane area.  Who's good and what did it cost?  Is powder coat any cheaper? Cheers Steve

I got my CZ frame, swing arm, engine mount and air box done in Beenleigh for $260. The frame already had powdercoat on it so it was hard to get off.

not a big fan of powder coating the black tends to fade to a grey, also if you do chip it it will hold moisture and will rust the frame.if black use kill rust, with the polyurethene, hard but has give and is easy for touch ups
