I sent him an email say, you need to compare your 4000 dollars bike with my Hodaka who was trying to get 4000 dollars, and re- think it.

the bike for sale is a "74".
the 75 model is white and exactly the same as the 74 just with alloy rims.
he's dreaming for that bike as it stands for that price.
they are a fun thing though ;)

Here's my 75 MX125 which I thought was a '74 but what do I know about these thingys. I hope he gets his 3k because that'll give me a guide on what to ask for mine! I found this little gem on the council cleanup for nothing. Got a rough TM250 and a little electric bike with it for the price! The bike runs but has been fitted with a DT175 top end at some stage in its life.
Dave ??? You should know that the bike you posted is a '72 AT2MX. ::)

Where did you get that Firko? I far as I no the white tankers weren't brought into OZ.I bought my yellow(74) in 75 as a new bike .I never saw the white version except in the US mags.

I found the MX125 on a council cleanup in Castle Hill, Sydney about 2 years ago. I had an identical white tanker back in the day and yet another one in the early vintage days so I've either owned the only three to come into the country or you're mistaken on their rarity. ???

Where's Nathan when we need him? He knows this stuff backwards.

the MX126 also had the white tank in Au, if its got a Dt175 motor it could be made from all types of bits.

if it doesnt start with  401 prefix's, its a later frame etc.  still free is a good price.

Freaky, the bike is all totally as it came from the factory except for the DT175 barrel. The engine # is 402-185406 so it's the real deal. Even the 2.75x18 Yokahama front tyre is original equipment. Even the frame paint and tank don't need any repainting. All the bike needs is a good detail a set of tyres and a new 125 top end and you could feasibly race it. It's legal for pre '75 as a flow on I believe.
It may just end up on eBay to help offset the cost of the new Hindall. I've got a NOS Vintage Iron pipe to suit a YZ that'll fit and I've been offered a chrome bore YZa barrel and head or a stocker for when and if I get to doing the little bike up .
