Title: Skill base swap.
Post by: Slakewell on July 14, 2010, 07:53:38 pm
Ok without too much my dick is bigger than your dick.
What is your serious skill base with regards to old scooters.
Mine are Tig welding and thread repair there just isn't much I don't know here.
I can also turn up the Lath and the Mill to average tradesman.
The point being If you need some skills like I have and will trade for yours lets chat.
I suck at painting and detailing.

Top idea.

I can do bead blasting and wet blasting, FWIW.
Can rebuild/re-oil/re-gas shocks, and build wheels.

Can also use a lathe and MIG at a basic level - really only to a point that would help out locals as my skills with these aren't worth the freight.

Hey Guys,
How about giving a ball park location in your reply. Would be helpful to know which area you are in.
VMX42

…and me… graphic designer. If you need any graphics or sticker artwork reproduced. Photos retouched etc then give me a bell. Parts books scanned and converted to pdf files, etc. Can't guarantee I will have time, but for fellow VMXers you never know.

Location: Northern suburbs of Sydney

As an exhausty we are told we can't do shit but I am happy to bend tube like frame rails and can make small repairs and weld brackets etc... oh and of course we can make most exhaust pipework and we KNOW how it should be mounted to stop fractures and mounts coming loose-most of the time!
Two stroke stuff is more tricky with cones and all but we can do most repairs like dings and stuff.
We're in western Brisvagas and will even contra stuff for exhaust work on your tow wagon/ute as we are agents for Redback, Genie, Supercat, x-Force etc... etc.... and Tunit chips for Turbo Diesels. Lovells springs, Boge, KYB and Ultima shocks.
