Can anyone tell me if a pe250b alloy fuel tank will fit an rm 370b? It looks like it mounts the same. but maybe slightly larger capacity. ???
-
It'll mount up but the PE tank is longer and has a shorter seat.
-
Thanks Dave. I tried the tank on the rm370 frame but its a bit long, as you say. Where could i find a replacement tank and seat for this old girl? I need an exhaust too, maybe a collector or bike wrecker may have these bits? I am looking for a 370 engine too. Can anyone help?
-
What have you got....just a frame and wheels?. Theres plenty of tanks come up on evilpay all the time....most are dented though.
-
Can help with tank (good condition paneld and primed ), seat (Good base with new foam and cover), Exhaust (though its a bit ordinary)
Fully Rebuilt motor NOS cases, Nos cylinder, Nos genuine piston and rings , Nos rod kit , nos clutch basket, some nos gears , all new bearing and seals, new clutch plates and springs, Rebuilt by former GP mechanic .
Will need running in comes with spare cylinder just rebored on maximum oversize with piston & rings , not yet run , also several Nos std pistons .
$AU 3000.00 ONO for the lot inc shipping .

Hi Bill
Would you part with the tank seperately? I want a spare ride tank for my RM250B to save the good one from possible damage when I ride in events, I've been looking occasionally but when one comes up they're either over the top price wise or are gone before I get a chance to act.
I'm easy, a 370 or 125 tank will do, but it has to be an original aluminium job.

Hi all, It doesnt sound much for now, but a bit more than a frame with wheels, thanks Davey! You have to start with something, and sourcing all the bits is half the fun.At least for us sickos! I have a 250b engine to kick off with, 370 engine will go in time.It is surprising how much different models share.I will keep sniffing around.
Cheers, Shane
