What is the '82 495 RV like to ride? Does it go around corners without the rider having to climb all over the tank and handle bars? Is it's heaviness obvious?

I'm not sure the they made an RV in the 495, the 82 495 is like most 495's to ride not for faint harted and yes you need to use the heaviness to your advantage dont fight it. You need to undertsand how to set up the forks so they ride correctly into the corners then go around the outside line like a fast 500 should.

What isn't?...... The engine has a new barrel with an 8 petal full reed valve on it, and slightly revised porting to go with it. The pipe is all new and for the first time runs down only one side of the bike instead of crossing over from left to right. The bottom end of the engine has had a revision to the positioning of the cylinder studs to take the new transfer port layout and also accept the new casting for the offset inlet manifold.
