History To Be Made: Dirt Bike Short Circuit Racing To Debut At T P C R
Sunday, August 15, will mark an important milestone for Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway and the sport of Short Circuit Dirt Bike Racing in NSW, when the first of several slated events are conducted at the Sydney venue.
The Sydney Dirt Bike Spectacular will feature all major senior and junior classes, two and four-stroke bike competition and quad racing, as per the Motorcycling NSW regulations (see complete list of classes below).
The August 15 meeting will be the first of many Sunday-scheduled events in the forthcoming twelve month period.
Fox Sports has been engaged to present all of the action which will appear nationally on Fox Sports with a dedicated one-hour highlight programs, broadcast on at least two occasions.
It will be a major step forward for the sport of Short Circuit Dirt Bike Racing hosting race meetings in a world-class speedway-style stadium complete with grandstands and corporate facilities.
All Corporate Suites will be available for hire during the day’s action with enquiries forwarded to the Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway office.
A full set of Motorcycling NSW Supplementary Regulations will be available by Friday, July 9, 2010.

About Short Circuit Dirt Track Racing:
The discipline of Short Circuit Dirt Track Racing involves the use of motocross bikes – both two and four-stroke – on closed circuits that can be up to 1800m long, and in various shapes with left and right-hand turns. The surface may be grass or graded dirt.

You're right Jim & Hoony, clay & too grippy for Sliders. I can't recall which year it was but it was either just before or just after the track officially opened, the SRA were invited to try the track out and I rode there and it was nearly impossible to turn and was bloody scary to say the least, thank Christ there was plenty of run off.
Everytime they have held a Solo meeting there they have placed dirt on top of the clay and the track chops up bigtime.
