Mate, Just curious.. are you after a non std part cause from memory i reckon the D hada tubular steel swingarm and the E had a Alloy one.

Yes, it needs to be an aftermarket unit. I can't use the 1978 model swing arm because it is a pre 1978 class.

??? has anyone fitted a 250/400 D s/arm into a 125D or is it way too much trouble. i cant see much on this subject in the yamaha section, but i reckon one of you guys must know. maybe too wide at the pivot point or something. how much have they sold for in the past, seems kinda expensive or im out of touch with prices, ...

yer too much troulble , toowide is just at the pivot is just the start.

Matt Park Just did it with a 250/400D DG Swingarm I sold him, he said it was quite easy and the bike is up and running perfectly.

The 125 is 20mm narrower at the pivot bit the same at the axle .so to do it right you need to bend the side arms somewhere.

yes GMC its 1 or 2 mm smaller . the overall swingarm length is shorter as well.
