That's too cool for words 8) (just get rid of the modern Cappra 250 sticker and it's finished)

Wow, what a great find(http://i323.photobucket.com/albums/nn458/mx250syd/icons/drool.gif). Its a great pre'70 bike - looks great, looks very original and complete.
I think this a 'rare as' and highly desirable collectible Monty - I'm sure Jared will be along soon to confirm.
Whatcha gonna do with it? Race it? Resto? Keep as is?
These Pixies are from an Italian collector's collection 8) :)

No I meant the 66 4 speed engine that David was wanting to know what to do with a couple of days ago?
Would have been a good spare for your new mount.
Regards Stan.

I can remember Gary O'Brien absolutely whipping the pre 70 class on one of these Cappras or an earlier Monty LaCross at a vintage meeting at Barrabool in the early 90's. I wrote a piece on Cody Tellis's LaCross in VMX #33 that gives a bit of background on the model.

I think that this is the bike you talk about firko Gary owned it at one stage so I'm told

This is the montesa 67 cappra 250 gp that l bought off Gary O` Brien and raced it for about 18 months, Gary raced it for a short time, it was built out of new parts that lyall had. I know where the bike is and its not being used, But as l read this thread the owner John may have moved in on, but l would delt that it would be in the same condition. This photo shows the condition of the bike, it was brilliant. I do know of a La cross sitting in a shed, not sure if that one is finished.
-
Thats the bike I bought it off John on the week end its not a gp I have one of those too ;D
-
Okay, I've gotta ask; what's that chrome doovalackie hanging off the back of the exhaust attached by rubber and hose claps and finished off with a rubber bung ::) :P.

I think its a bit of old vacumn cleaner I do know the rubber bung is off a 1964 kitchen table leg!
-
The chrome muffler is off a Vw Beetle, and work very well. otherwise the bike is very load.
-
John should have the original moulds for the mud guards for that bike, why, l had them specially made. by a fibreglass company. and the expansion chamber is not round it is oval. please take notice of that. that monty has the tyres that l put on it before the meeting at Mortlake back in 1993.
