Title: My new ride!
Post by: D project on June 30, 2010, 10:20:52 pm
A few photos of my new Viper ride this year. Tried to make it into a bit of a privateer racer from back in the day.(http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae230/dprojectalbum/DSCN0258.jpg)
White power single sided airbox, white power rear shock and aftermarket pipe.(http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae230/dprojectalbum/DSCN0259-1.jpg)(http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae230/dprojectalbum/DSCN0260.jpg)(http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae230/dprojectalbum/DSCN0257.jpg)

I love the period touches - it certainly looks like "a privateer racer from back in the day". Congrats.

A 250D was my first new bike. Wish I had never sold it.

But I have to say, that the 125D was more fun. Good luck with it, and enjoy.

Thanks for the feedback! For those of you that don't know it's a 83 D model. It has a 82 motor. Tried to make it look like a Vandenberg replica as trevor flood racing were running and selling the white power shocks, airboxes Seer goggles and JT gear. Also Ray used yellow grips and black levers. Its funny reading the tests from 83, the yanks bagged the motor of the 83 and wished they had the 82 motor. The Aussies said it had a more powerful motor than the 82 and gave it best in class. Bahnsy it was tough going against the Works 125 until he missed a gear. Ross I am only missing the 125 and 80, but have the 125X which was supposed to be better than the D.

It is indeed a credit to you, King of Bling!!!

P.S - Hope to have the CR running better off the start line at Ravenswood (a new pipe is being cooked up for it by a craftsman in Bush ranger country (well sort of) of Victoria).....
