Can somone please tell me the original length eye to eye of the shocks on a 1979 CR 250 thanks Bill

I think it's 17.5 inches

Definitely - 17.5"

Fox airs seem to be the shock of choice but can't see why a set of Husky ITC Ohlins couldn't be used. They are longer but should be able to be shortened and are cheap to buy.

Thanks blokes  :) mine came with nos fox air shocks but i prefer Ohlins or Fox factory :)
Just wanted to make sure i buy the correct length.
