I need to get some husky DL Shoes redone with someting more bitey than the current 26 yr old tired and probably oil contaminated pads , that just wear out my arm and dont slow down.. any recomendations? I am sure this has been asked 1000 times before but My search came up with nothing..Brisbane, and north side even better!

If there is still plenty of meat on them, soak them in fuel and set them alight. Then give them a light buff /emery and put them back in. You could try running some hack saw cuts across them on an angle to give them more leading edges.
If they re are too far worn try All Brake and Clutch at Rocklea for a rebond 3277 2888

i just give mine a quick bead blast then cut cross grooves in them with the angle grinder.
bigger grooves i find are better than the teeny ones you get from the hacksaw method.

Shite Vandy, I said hacksaw so you lot didn't think I was a butcher!!

thanks guys, I will go for rebonding , they look ok, but have no bite - i want bite! need arcing too but I want to start from a known - not put too much time into dodgy pads.

There's a top bloke named Rod Cooke who has a couple of immaculate Can-Am MX6s, and runs a brake place in Brisbane- but I've lost his business card and phone number etc. He did some shoes for me 12 months ago and did a perfect job. Grant Black or Gosso will be able to tell you where he is.
Cheers,
Martin

You can still buy replacement shoes for the DLS Huskys - EBC shoes from husqvarna-parts.com are available. Fernando at Husky Parts may have some also. BTW my 78 auto's single leading shoe front brake pisses all over my 84 DLS set up. Cant make the DLS work even with brand new shoes - but who needs brakes anyway ...they just slow you down ;D ;D ;D

All brake and clutch did a top job, same day $35, they bite and work straight away no rooting around sanding etc. Bargain!

Glad to help.
