I noticed in a few pics some guys have chrome modern era pipes on their bikes and was wondering who actually sells new pipes for pre 85 bikes? Or do most blokes keep getting their old pipes fixed?
-
Dirt overstock in the states sells alot of DG pipes. You should be able to deal with DG direct. Closer to home look for an ad in for sale section of the classifieds(not in forum) for Paul's ad as he has alot of DG nos pipes and mufflers. Then there is GMC pipes who does heaps.Geoff's ad is on the home page. The home grown guys are easy to deal with (go figure) and i have read a few complaints about dirt over.

You can get chrome Pro-circuit pipes for pre85 model bikes still. Just get in contact with Pro-circuit.
-
also Retro Rocket Pipes from www.vintageiron.com
circle F - http://www.circlefexhaust.com/
Jemco - http://www.jemcoexhaust.com/
and there is also Pro Form but i dont know what is going on with them. their website is not working properly and i can only get to bits and piecess of it through the wayback machine or internet archive.
you can also get chamber repair sections for some bikes. i know you can get them for PE 250/400 and they would probably fit bikes like RM 250 T/N. also i believe they have them for IT yams. the website is http://www.mlbnz.co.nz/

if you want a silver coating then try
HPC coatings-HPC are down in Leongatha about 2 hours SE of Melbourne.
or JET-HOT -they operate out of Castlemaine about 1 hours drive NW of Melbourne.JET-HOT Coating Australia Pty. Ltd. 26 Elizabeth Street, Castlemaine 3450 Victoria Australia free call 1800 700 468
i am told Jet Hot is better than HPC
i think there is a JET HOT website so have a search for more info ......... ok just did the search my self here it is http://www.jet-hot.com.au/

Thanks for the replies guys, I dont need one just yet, I will see how this one holds up but its good to know theyre out there.
-
I just ordered some pipes from circle F, FWIW they are 10 weeks behind after you pay.
hope you dont need one soon :'(
-
Circle-F is good, but like previous comment, they do take a while in production. Make sure you get someone decent to weld it together when it arrives. For packing only, the piece between the expansion chamber and the muffler comes separate. You'll need to weld it up either on the bike, or clamp/tack it etc.
Pro-Circuit is my other pick. The Chroming is far better than other offerings. Pro-Circuit wont ship direct though. You need to contact Monza Imports. They are a wholesaler, so if you have a M/C shop that is friendly, get them to get on your behalf.
Hope this helps.

A quick question,
What is the better pipe for a tm125?
Retro Rocket Pipes
circle F
or
Jemco ?
Brad
-
Brad it looks like your TM has a after market pipe already.jimson
-
Hey,
Yeh it came with a ex factory pipe, apparently, but I dont know how im gonna put a mufler onto it!
-
The pipe looks good from where I'm sitting. ;D I would just look at as many pictures of 125 TMs as I could some one will give you the idea how to adapt a muffler. Some of the mufflers now days are longer in the body so you will be able to hang it from the same point.jimson
-
Your stock muffler will only fit the stock pipe, and only today a decent one went for over $200US on eBay, circle-F are good as they include a built in muffler (won't break loose/fall off etc and is repackable) and are only $150US new, retro rocket are the same but cost $50 more, I don't know what a jemco costs or what one looks like. The stock TM muffler is to some degree non-repackable, and is heavy because its steel.
-
Heres a pic of a Circle-F on a TM125
-
Cyclegod I don't think Brads pipe is a stock TM pipe to start with tell me if I'm wrong my wife dose all the time ;D jimson
-
The pipe looks a lot like the one on my TM (RMS pipe) I have had an after market muffler made and fitted by Cycleworks over here.
TMBill might be able to post a photo? As my bikes are at his place?

Muffler is stock but the pipe is some after-market job by the looks of the photos
-
circle F where $150 BUT WENT up this New year to i think $200USD. ( kevin is also 10 weeks behind if your ever trying to order one)
-
Does Geoff Morris make a TM 125 pipe ? Brad check with Geoff his pipes are top quality and why not support a local craftsman :)
-
I ordered a Circle F pipe from AMS Racing a couple of years ago. It was available ex stock - they have quite a range available on their current web site as we speak. Price was around $US 150 + postage. The pipe has to be cut to fit US Post's maximum parcel length. I got replica guards, filters, Badges as well for my VR Montesa, cost me from memory $US45, landed at home in 6 days. Not too loud, same top end as the standard pipe, but better midrange. AMS were great to do business with. They have a listing for TM & RM Suzuki models.

Hey, Thanx heaps guys for the feed back, but i dont think GMC makes them from memory! I really like the look of the retro rocket pipes, they look fatter than the circle f!
-
I have jigged for the TM 250 but not the TM 125 as yet. It is on my must do list.
I have a TM 125 pipe to work from but will eventually need a bike to fit up to, will probably try to do something after CD5
-
Brad Geoff could still make one of his beautiful mufflers for the pipe you have already they look real cool 8) jimson
