Thanks fellow, l am excited about the bike, question is where can l race it.
-
I thought it was supposed to be a Hodaka!!
I like the Bully.. looks good.
-
VCM or CSC? Is the LTR a problem? Jerry
-
bully replacing the hodaka, power to weight racho, who in victoria supports pre 78 classes, my club don`t.
-
Nice Dave!

What club are you in Dave?
As Jerry says try these two

I don't think Classic scramble cater for pre 78 now that I think of it
-
I am the founding member of the CSC. we only run pre75, but some exception to the rule, but in saying that l do know a bultaco mk8 owner does race the mk 8 in pre 75 class with the VCM meeting, personally l have never had a problem with it, there is not a great deal of differents between the mk7 and mk8 pursang.
-
Gday David, that is a great looking Mk8 250. I hope this will be a keeper :D. I just picked up a 125 Mk 8 on Friday on my way to CD7, it is pretty rough but has got great potential.
Regards Stan.

Did my first CSC pre75 race at Harrow.
Had a ball.
-
The CSC love seeing new riders and members, do have saturday night drinks at the pub, tell your friends to come, l am happy you have a great time what did you think of the track what bike did you ride Viper 79.
-
The track was great apart from the dust which can't be helped. I rode a MX 360 #179

Hi Stan, thanks mate, just need to buy the bultaco jersey. did you have fun at CD7,
Yeah we had heaps of fun. You must not miss the next one no matter where it is. By the way I spent lots of time with Dennis Dickman over the weekend and apart from a few get offs looked like he could still be really fast.
Regards Stan.
-
Dennis Dickman, was keen to come back and ride, he is looking quite fit, l missed out at christmas in catching up with him and he was only 10 mins away. next time.

Yeah Dennis crashed my RM370 on sunday and knocked himself silly...think the red mist took over.
-
Poor old Dennis, trying to hard, l used him for traction a few times in our younger years, Would like to see him at the next one. Maybe dennis legs are getting shorter with age the evo bikes are getting to big. old mate.
-
maybe it had to do with sat night ::)
-
a sweet bit of gear, you will nearly be an out cast with a 78. :)
-
Mate, l wouldn`t be riding a 74.5 model bike against a 90 model bike, but in saying that ron dinsdale didn`t on a 360 bultaco against 90 model bike and they where A graders and he cleaned them up, so power band don`t under rate these old girls and there jockies.
-
David, you could always retro fit the '74 swingarm or weld rear tags on the swingarm to ride in club days, like lots of Bully Mk8 owners do. As you say the rest of the bike is very much just a Mk7 anyway.
The bike looks great.

That is right, that may be the way to go, Very Good Point Bultaco Macca, but l not like changing a bike when it really shouldn`t need to be change just because someone said. when l was racing in 1974 -75 it didn`t matter then, and they didn`t handle any better, it was just the new look.
