Yeah it should have a disc brake. Wonder what the cylinder's like, think they were nikasil.

Yep, thanks fellas. I'm looking at it.
I sent a message asking about the front end and he then claimed it was an '83 model, which it clearly isn't. Just to be sure, I've asked whether it's got a flat slide carb and the twin coil setup as those are bits I need for mine.
My guess is that it is an '84 with a different front end for some reason.
And yes, they did have an electrofusion bore, so it would need to be sleeved. I would only want it for a few parts though, so that doesn't matter to me. Not sure if it's worth a grand though............  :-\
Anybody out there live in Deniliquin?

:o Someone paid $1500 for this one.
Maybe I am really out of touch as to what these things are worth, but I would have happily sold mine for that much 6 months ago, and I've got over $1000 worth of NOS parts with it.  :-\
Good luck to them and I hope it turns out to be another one on the track.

Tony i bought that KX.. paid more than i wanted to but it's the ohlins shock that made it worth more to me. Found a new cylinder sleeve for it too, not sure if that's the way to go or re-plate the original.

At least we know it's gone to a good home.  ;D
Yeah, I guess that shock makes a difference. Not to me cos if I end up keeping mine, I want it stock.
I would think sleeving is the way to go as you can't buy stock pistons for them any more.
I'll send you a pm.

Well there you go. I never would have thought that one of those in bits, in unknown condition,  would be worth that.
Good to know.  ;D
