Great story MX. Fantastic area. The guy is obviously a wack job.
Reminded me of a solo hunting expedition I went on many years ago- as I pull up a chair by the fire- short version is it was getting dark and still 10Klm in the forest when the" Ironing Board "(SP370) threw a chain and locked up tight. Rifle and backpack helped me in freshly ripping that section of fire trail for anyone that followed. Had some tools and started a fire and a couple of hours later it was rideable, but only at jogging pace otherwise it would derail the chain again. It is scary as hell in the bush at night!

That blew me out, but not as much as the fact that when I clicked the google map I realized it was just up the road from an old mates place. Been there three times and was too drunk to realize that that beutiful country was a short run up the road.
