Title: tt500 yz125x fuel tap repair kit

can repair kits be bought for these types of fuel taps.methenol has helped perish the rubber inside

Jim - if it is the one I am thinking of with the 4 holed rubber insert - the insert is not available as a spare part - however many Yamahas between about 73 and 80 had the same fuel taps so maybe just buying another tap might help?  By the way - they all tend to pass/leak like a sieve  >:(

This is the type that screws on to the male threaded fitting on the tank, with the steel plate held on my two small phillips head screws. On/Off only.

Jim, a new tap is $50. I want one too - go you halvies on postage?

Seems doomed to failure if you're running methanol. I use a ball valve on my XT slider no leaks and adequate flow. cheers wally.
