Title: QVMX Race dates for 2008

the race dates for next year are on the QVMX web page, the first event will be a practice weekend on a new property, it has a adjoining state of the art Drive- In next door with movies being shown on the Saturday night for the QVMX crowd to unwind to,with a coldie or two. Same format as AGM weekend, so bring the kids and your tent and kick off the season at a new venue.

The location of the new QVMX track has me intrigued - alongside a Drive-in you say?
The only fully functional Drive-in I'm aware of is the one at Yatala (a hop, skip and a jump from the famous Yatala Pie Shop).
For the out of Staters pls be aware I'm not referring to the South Aussie Yatala where David Hicks was recently housed... ;)
Can you advise the new location or is it still a secret?

Yatala maybe , the DRIVE IN  is located next to Links ( Motul ) and DJR racing . The flat ground would have to be on the opposite side of the road . am I close  ;)

Yep, lots of industry surrounding the Yatala Drive-in; hence my question.
The photos on the QVMX site certainly don't look like Yatala but what other Drive-ins are out there?

hi guys
the new track is up near Cole's Creek, about 30 min from there i believe, it will used for a practice round to see how it runs , jump on the web site for QVMX and Steve will give you all the details.

If i heard right, it is like a Gympie drive in .Or close to.

There is another track....piece of land on the other side of Gympie (from Birsbane) that has a Drive in screen in the next paddock, literally,  Dave whatshisname Grice and I had a look at it a few years ago the owner approached the club and offered it as a track, it had a creek running right through the middle of it.

it sounds like the place , but i have never been there myself. Just spoke with Steve and the Newsletter will out in a few days with all the details on where it is.

Now there's a date for Conondale I'm wondering if anyone knows if Proserpine is on and when?

I've got to go to my sisters wedding in FNQ at the end of August so I'm looking for another race meet after Conondale.

Might as well get some enjoyment out of the trip.

Brent. Proserpine is listed in the Motorcycling Queensland calender as on the 16/17 of August "To Be Approved". Darcy

That sounds great Darcy,
hopefully Proserpine will be that date so I can do Conondale, Proserpine then the wedding and back home in one round trip.
