to be working].We just want them to look the part.
                             "           afternoon 4hr enduro any bike that'll pass a safety check--teams of 2,3 or 4.
Each team member must complete at least one lap
Note:-Please have your team sorted before you enter. If you can't organise a team, enter "find me a team" and we'll
                                   hook you up .

Just a memory jog--discount entries close 3rd Sept--final close of entries 22nd Oct. There will be NO LATE ENTRIES accepted.
Enduro & Vinduro may need to cut off earlier if over subscribed.
You can enter before your team is finalised & link up later [up to close of entries] or we can hook you up if you can't find a team.

Requirement for lights relaxed so MX bikes ok---remember Evo & earlier --air cooled ,drum brakes ,non linkage.

Hey talkin bout gold graham I got the forks with racetech right now getting the gold emulators fitted with stiffer springs. Next is the rear shock. i am planning to get the gold valve in that with twin springs for soft then harder stroke. So next weekend for a day we gonna hammer me? and are you copping out and going to use the new bike? or are you going to punnish the kidneys with me on the real iron?
and yes we are going for gold all the way,, I need another gold to hang next to my other one  ;D

I wonder if the '79 IT is ok for the enduro, then there's the small problem of getting time off work...bugger

Up-date  went to convenor's meeting Frid.  Motorbike entries to date three times that at this stage last Games. An entry for a Pre85 500 2 stroke in Modern class--didn't let it ruin it for him [that's the spirit.]

Got the entry list to date and as anticipated we will have to cap Enduro entries for two man teams. The three & four man team situation is ok at this stage. If you are considering a two man team & havn't yet entered ,I suggest you do it Pronto.

If you want to have a look at the MX track [bear in mind it's a work in progress] google in "youtube 2010 masters old bikes"
scroll to "videos for 2010 masters old bikes"    Click on 019benlee019  and youcan choose "old bike col" ,"modern bike "or "branch ball" [for a laugh.].
It's about a 2m 20sec lap for an old rider on a "pre75 bike,and 2m for a fast rider,so the pre75 races of 6minutes plus a lap will be a 9-10 min race for the average rider.Evolution races of 8min plus a lap should be 10-11 mins.

You'll have to move those vans out a bit so the sidecars can get through Col.

You've cottoned on to our strategy EML--we intended to move that truck back & forth to keep the chairs guessing.

Entries close in less than 3 weeks--no late entries.Numbers are ok for Vinduro ,good for Enduro MX a mixed bag eg pre 65 better than anticipated ,Pre78 very poor.A large number that said they are "gunner enter" still haven't so get the skates on guys.We will add a Ladies Class if we get two more female entries.[Evo or older bikes] Ladies would ride in the mixed class relative to bike & age ,and also in a ladies only class.Ring me for further info-0459122090 that is 0459 Dan Reardon Brad van Barrelo.

Has the Vinduro circuit been set-out yet ?  Wondering how hilly it is likely to be -a bike choice thing.

Thanks,

Not hilly ,no rocks ,combination open farm tracks and tight sections  through light scrub. We've got entries from XL250 ,TS185 & even a postie bike ,so you can be sure it won't be intimidating.

Unlikely to need to cut off early for Vinduro ,although Enduro is getting up there. To be safe get the entries in ASAP.

My bro in law has a Scott Squarell with a bath tub on the side-I'll see if he wants to rent it out. We could race it and then rent it to the campers as a bath house :D :D

I havent seen anything come through officially re the whereabouts or protocol for the games.  There is some information about 'registering' at the games village - do we need to do that, or just rock up on the Saturday morning ?

Thanks,

Well it's all over untill 2012.Lucky the weather held and it seemed a good time had by all. Thanks to BMCC & QVMX who loaned equipment and special thanks to Vandy & Doug Aichison who stepped up to help.Congratulations to the riders who entered into the spirit of a fun event and showed determination to have a good time in spite of a few hiccups. We had ages 30-78 ,girls & blokes ,skill levels from National Enduro Champ to first timers ,bikes from late 1950s AJS to latest KTM ,and a great week-end enjoyed.Makes all the effort worthwhile.
Don't forget photos on vmxshotz.com To paraphrase Bob Hawkes famous quote when Aust won the America's Cup--"any one who doesn't buy a photo from Jackie is a bum"

Ricky Madden, who cleaned up the Vinduro on his rapid PE175 got injured at work today, his crane truck touched an 11,000 volt overhead cable and he got burnt. I dont know how bad but maybe Schultzy might know, I'm sure everybody on here sends their best wishes for a speedy recovery.

He's in the burns unit in Brisbane.  He has burns to his hands, back and foot.  He's talking but there keeping a watch on his organs.
As bad as it is, He is very lucky to be here.  He's a tough bugger.

He is being inducted into the MQ Enduro hall of fame tonight at the MQ awards night.

Seeing the way he rode at the Masters Games I think he and his bike must of touched the 11000V cable before the race he was that fast. I wish him a speedy recovery and if he recovers as quick as he rides it won't be long.
