thanks,have sent email,hopefully before Firko ;)
Alison & Steven.

I don't want it Alison, I'm using a Maico engine. Jonesy's the one you have to beat, I think he's paid for it already.
-
Alison, Alan eventually got the 405 Sprite engine but it cost him $200, double the asking price. When he saw the ad he immediately rang the bloke and when told that someone else had beaten him to the punch (also with a phonecall) Al offered him double the price and the bloke accepted. I've missed stuff on the Swapmeet myself by relying on email contact. Now, if I want something badly enough I call the guy. That's the lesson we've picked up with this wheeling and dealing. There's no substitute for talking to the seller directly.
-
Thanks for the info Firko, does that mean Alan will let me have the next one ;) ;D
I still believe we could make a few pennies if we started that tank mold business too--- now just to get the CR's,PE,CD,TM,XL,little TM,Sprite,TT,XT,Moderns,Trailer, auto chook water feeder, fencing, pruning, french doors hung, holidays, committee meetings, racing all done and we can start :P
cheers

Nothing to do with American Eagle whatsoever. In a nutshell, the Yankee is an OSSA 500 twin derived from two Phantom top ends on a common crank case fitted to a frame designed by Dick Mann. Theyre as rare as rocking horse shit in this country and pretty scarse in the USA these days. Ken Smith's got a beauty.

That Yankee 500 would be the type of bike to get a run on "Top Gear" unplugged bars and all :P

From that angle looks like a road bike with nobby tyres.
