As you may have read, we're planning to have a feature brand at each Classic Dirt event from now on. Funnily enough, Suzuki got the nod for CD7. The plan is to have a big marquee filled with every Suzuki dirt model possible, up to 1985. Every TM, every RM, TS, TC, PE, RS, and so on. It will look sensational.
So far we have a full line-up of RM-A models (100, 125, 250, 370), A RM400C and a '83 RM250. Can anyone who has an RM, PE, TS etc (not covered above) please contact me by email [email protected] if you can lend your bike for the display.
Thanks
Ken

Do they have to be 100% original?
-
Sounds great good idea would be hard to get everything in restored nick though wish my PE's were all done would be a great sight the full suzuki line up thanks Michael. :)
-
No, not at all, but close to original is the ideal. if they are 100% then that's just a bonus.
Thanks
Ken

can we just move Doc's shed up from Brissy. That should fill the marquee nicely
-
great one of every footpeg :D
-
I gotta ask.............. have you got an RS???? ???
-
No, but I'm ever the optimist.
-
:-\ hmmm..problems I see with this plan is many of my bikes are far removed from original being bitsa's from the ground up ::) Then there's a few that maybe okay for said display but I be riding these (RL,TM, TS125MX, '69 TS) so that counts that lot out :-\ Others like the 400c and 125a are already spoken for but maybe some mini's ??? TS100 ??? I dunno :P will go have look see and report what I find :P how 'bout some models Suzuki NEVER knew they built..plenty of those! ;D

Not sure how they'll see it, but I like that idea. Just make up a sign explaining your logic behind the project (if you can :P )
I reckon it would be interesting to see even if it's not part of the official Suzuki Display. ;D
I've got a very original DR400S but there's no way I can get it cleaned up by CD7. Can we do Suzuki again next year??? :D
-
How about Yamaha next year so I can offer the IT465, then Suzuki again the year after so I will have time to get the RM465 done ;D.
Cheers

huh ??? you are seriously confused Tony..since when did logic have anything to do with old dirtbikes let alone my profusely pillaged prototypes ::) now shhhh..I'm still looking :P
-
Doc, I'd be happy to feature some of your 'Specials' and certainly any of your 'minis'.
Thanks
Ken

I have a white TS250 Ken,its a bit grubby cosmeticwise,but complete.
The comp plate says its a 83 model.
If this can be used for the display,I can bring it along.
Cheers,Mark.
-
Hi Mark - love to have it there, thanks. Please bring it along.
-
How about the Boyd and Stellings TM400? ;D Has anyone offered up a TS90/TS100? These little bikes probably introduced nearly as many people to off road riding as the DT1. A seriously underrated little bike.
-
There be a very nice display of Huskies also.
So if you dont like yellow come on over and look at some nice bikes
-
no worries Mr Ken ;) will watch and see and if logistically viable I'll add the '69 TS250MX :P decided it's too bloody heavy and would break Green Park if I were to ride it anyway :o ;D if not it'll be a few mini's but I might wait and see how the list is panning out since I have the option of change on no notice ;D

:D :D :D yeah right ::) 10 points for trying Shoey ;D
