Anyone know how many sets of Simons UDX forks were produced, seems quite a few sets coming up for sale at the moment.
-
I haven't seen any for sale, where are they advertised?
-
they seem to come up pretty regular on the Vintage Swap Meet

Marc.I read somewhere the figure 300 but I reckon theres more like 500-1000 given how many I have seen come up for grabs.

I agree.
At Christmas I was offered 3 pairs of UDX60 forks, one set had never been used.
There must have been quite a few made or owners never used them much because of there cost.
To scared of damaging them.

I've been searching for some, not sure I'd cough up huge dollars, but they sure would look pretty on my 480 project.

Most yanks want $3000.00 USD for a pair and then you have to find a triple clamp.
The triples cost around $600.00USD.
Then the forks need to be airmailed here for around $250.00USD.
When they arrive you then have to rebuild them.
If you have a YZ you will need to purchase a CR front wheel and disc brake assembly.
Once you have all the parts you then have to mill up the disc brake attachement because these only came out with drum brakes.
All up they will set you back around $4500.00
Most guys say " for that I could get another bike"
