Title: YZ125 A?
Post by: 090 on April 25, 2010, 02:08:22 pm
Listed as a yz125. I think it is too dear for such a roughy.
Do you think it has the correct motor? It is a bit hard to see from the distant (hmmm) photos.
His feedback isn't to flattering either.

zero bids as i type this and yes i've been watching this one.
my opinion is it's over priced for what it is.
condition wise etc as it's a roughie.
motor is hard to tell as the shiny cases indicate it's a DT donk but the engine covers do interchange so it's a guess.
no airbox or side panels, rear guard etc.
i'd just want more for that kind of cash.

In the past I've bought some complete, but rough bikes, and they were always decently priced. This one's a bit too pricey, especially seeing that it has no race history, and a host of parts missing, etc.
I'd been thinking about selling my CR500 88 mod,for a while now. Its complete, needs a tidy up,and a new pipe.I thought I might get $2000 tops for it,given that moneys a bit tight with most folk. Then I see ads like that and wonder if I'd be selling meself short! ???

                                                    Cheers,Mark.

Yeah but ads like that also make people think theirs is worth the same or more. Whether it sells or not. You being more realistic, would sell .

It's a grand, anyone who pays more is a fool.....all your buying is a frame, swingarm, tank, seat and an engine that will need lots of $ spent, the rest is junk and a very expensive resto/rebuild. There will be trick alloy works airboxes available for them in a week! 8)

Ask for the frame and the engine numbers Brad, but i reackon youll find its an MX 175, just from how it looks. infact id even say at best a YZ frame with a DT175 motor in it.

IF your looking for a yz125A, i got one here i stated to rebuild etc, but its in the come back to area, motor was rebuilt, frame painted etc etc think it only needs the Exht. and paint the side cover and guards from what i remember. ???

I agree with Brett, save your $2500 and wait for the next container load from California. If it was a 250 A you are probably in a sellers market but 125 not.
