What a great machine, that straight through pipe would sound glorious. Just one minor thing is the fuel tank in the seat? Wassit hold 30 litres? ;D

With due respect to the builder, this bike's not that good a buy. Those Aussie made Kell Ambertsen made Monark frames are a bit agricultural in their construction and I actually saw one snap in half at Ravenswood a few years ago. Because of the frame design most over the counter tanks won't fit thereby adding nearly 1k extra for a custom alloy tank. Any wonder the tank doesn't appear to exist! The rest of the bike is the standard fodder CZ wheel/fork combo and you can bet you'll need heavier aftermarket fork springs and dampening changes to suit the heavier bike. Just by looking at the photos it also needs cables, throttle, levers, oil tank, side covers, footpegs, kick starter and so on. I'd also want proof that the Jawa engine has been rebuilt. I doubt very much his claims of 60hp on the engine as well. I may sound a bit harsh but there is far too much unfinished work for that kind of money. Building a proper pre 65 bike is a very expensive exercise and I reckon there's a good 2k to spend not counting any unforseen engine woes. The current $8600 could quickly turn into $11000-$12000 before it turns its first lap. Although it's not actually a pre '65 bike the BSA below that was on eBay last week is more representative of what you should get for your 10k.
