can some one help do you use fuel additive in your fuel i have a 84 rm125 do i need to use fuel additive with unleaded fuel thanks gazza thats a lead additive
-
No.
The reason for lead additives is to avoid valve seat recession in (some) 4-strokes.
Obviously this is not an issue for a 2-stroke like an RM125.
The other reason lead was good, was because it increased the octane rating of the fuel. Modern Premium fuels have an octane rating at least as high as Super did, so that's a non-issue.

Then perhaps you haven't been using ancient Suzuki seals, Lawrence. I have seen this three times now. Eats away at the old seals. No, not imaginary. It happens.

lozza what percent did you go up in jetting? e.g 30%

That's propretry info but as a general rule e85 sits between straight petrol and methanol. With methanol using a factor of 1.5 fuel usage(BSFC) and petrol 1.00
I just google up some info saying blends >15% ethanol have bad effects on nitrile/rubber, but <10% have no adverse effects

This one talks about 'solvency' of ethanol
