Bloody amazing. I'm not sure what I'm most impressed with :). The 'Kid' is obviously very very good - the way he launches and lands the ramps etc. The Ossa is obviously making good power - looks like lots midrange. And the suspension is spot on - limited movement but no pogoing.
I feel sorry for the riders with long travel suspension - gee, no excuses and no where to hide :-[ :-\ ;D

so smoooooth 8)

Scott Burnworth isn't just 'some kid on an OSSA". He rode factory Suzuki and Yamaha in the early to mid eighties and rode for KTM in GPs in the late 80s. He was the runner up in the '83 AMA 250 title.
He's lately been the man to beat in AHRMA pro classes.http://www.racerxonline.com/article/where-are-they-now-scott-burnworth.aspx (http://www.racerxonline.com/article/where-are-they-now-scott-burnworth.aspx)

on ya Firko, don't ever leave us ;D :P
Great read, nothing like helping a mate out on the track hey ! and still involved in the sport 8)
quote:“Yeah, I didn’t really understand why I was suddenly cartwheeling,” Burnworth says. “I was a little upset about it, so when I got up I was just kind of riding around, and when Johnson caught me I decided to help Bailey out a little and make it a little hard for Ricky to pass me. Just a little bit, though!”

Hmmm, that might explain things. Don't feel so bad now ;D - I'm a mere moral; he being a demi-god 8).
If young riders/MX'er saw riding like that they might take a different view of old bikes and VMX ;) :).

Lynas OSSA are always well sorted and very FAST plus over the years the riders have been ex pro guys
Proves the Phantom are a good mouse trap
Pity ossa just don't have a big following in Aussie VMX
Cheers

What's an SBR?
Ossa had the SDR - Six Day Replica for the Enduro model, so who is SB?
The "kid", who must be around 43 / 44 now holeshots against USA's best including Ward, O'Mara, Hannah, Johnson etc.

Lynas has name this bike
SBR ossa
Scott Burnworth Replica
In other words a White Phantom
Still one bloody fast OSSA
Also Lynas is selling SBR models as special order race bikes hate to see the price

Geoff he's actually more like 46/47 . I saw him giving Hannah fits at Washougal in 83 .pretty sure that he was about 19/20 back then.
-
The original "Burner" was born in 1964 which makes him 46. He's one of those riders who were as good as the superstars but for reasons unknown hasn't been remembered in the same vein as the Rick Jhonsons, Bob Hannahs and Broc Glovers of the world. It's cool to see him on a pre '75 bike, something many of the old pros avoid in the name of self preservation.

Great pic gmc!how goods that old school zook jersey look, right in the slot amongst a sea of red, green and white almost looks like Tony T's work :D
-
Thats a cool track as well.
-
He looks as though he keeps his eye in riding a modern mxer, as he seems to do some of the things the kids do on their 250F's.

How many of those bikes got put up for sale after that spanking, guess the helmets allow you to not be identified ;D
