Steve Maples was going to be my next suggestion.
He is the off road development office for Ohlins and does this work (non-avaliable shocks) I believe after hours.
I did not know he had a website.
Have 2 shocks from him so far (82 480 and 84 500).
All Ohlins parts.

Is he still going?? I tried to buy some bits for my 390CR from him once, but he never replied to my emails. Other blokes said if you send him the money he'll send the parts back, but if he couldn't reply to confirm postage costs etc, I didn't want to take that risk.

Rossco now thats a surprise needing to source an aftermarket shock for a Honda-seriously whats the issue with these CR's ? every second bike I see has an aftermarket shock.
-
Craig, the shocks are not Honda made, the companies that supply them are working from Suzuki specs and they can't handle the job ;D ;D
-
Ha ha thanks Shane you made me laugh out loud! love your work old mate ;D
Rossco with all you issues with this red lemon dont you think its time to scrap her and buy back the mighty RM!

Yer the issue is the rear shocks but thats about the only issue.Once you mod the shock or use aftermarket the bikes are sorted rocketships.

Glad I could help Craig.
The pre 84 stuff over here (in Queensland anyway) is littered with them (Honda's that is). Dam fine bike mate, come over for CD 7 and I set you up on one of mine (have 3 of the 84's) or you could ride your old bike (the Red Devil).
Actually that is a good idea, come on mate you know you what too ;)
Hey MM love the look of the White power would have one in a flash if I could fine one.

I bought it for my 84 from a guy in Holland but its length and the heavy spring suggests that is an 83. Hasn'tgot a mark on it .
I'm getting that funky WP allen key recharge setup changed so that I can regass it myself. Then I'll have alook inside to see if its been shortened with a spacer. If not it s for sale.

Mate, I brought two Ohlins VMX shocks from Husky.com late last yeay for $1100 delivered to my door in Perth. Very very professional. The shocks were taylored to my requirements.

Firstly Gents:
1 Craig- yet again - bite your bum!!!!
2 Shane - thanks for getting in before I did!!!!
3 Craig - still bite your bum
4 Gents (that obviously excludes Craig) - thanks for the help. I thought the price from Steve was a little high but then seeing how Peter's prices have jumped so much maybe not so bad.
Will have a look at the web sites
