But now I'm turning my attentions to this 'un. Washed it for the first time on the weekend and under all that muck lurked a jewel...... ;)

Would mud-catchers have been available on this one Jared (the one I have pictured)? They have been re-laced and I thought they must have got it wrong. Was about to put some lip-less ones on it. I'd be very happy if I don't have to...... :P

I have only seen the early model Vr's with the mud catcher rims. (like the one pictured with the babe)
I also like the original red tank as well.

Bugger. :(

In 1973 gary o`brien brought back from spain, the first VR 250, it had its first outing at Colac Kettle Park, the bike have Mudcatcher rims, round striaght cut barrel and head same as the 72 model side pipe and also same tank, In 1974 the model changed to a crinckle cut barrel and head and tank change. both had black guards.
The work Montesa VR, the engine was the same as the 72 model gray ghost.
