Gents - the spline that the footpeg mounts to in the frame on a YZB (and I am assuming many others) - how does it attach into the frame? Mine has had a few years of abuse and needs a change out (may even be past file/grind repairs) - how do you do this - are they a press fit? They aren't listed as a spare part also?????

As far as I know they are welded to the frame.
The splines are a crap idea as when they wear they are hard to repair and it's hard to replace the mounting brackets as well when they get worn.
If I remember I will have a look tomorrow as I may have a spare one on an old frame that I can cut off for you. You will need to find someone over your way that can weld it on for you.

Rossco,
do the mounting bolts up like you normally would then just weld the sucker on.
Yamaha went to this mod on the 125 and i've done it on my MX250.
the motor still goes in and out of the frame no worries so it shouldn't be a problem.

I had one sitting on the shelf of odd bits.

A couple of splines look a bit squashed but overall it's usable.
let me know if you want it but keep in mind it's a half serious job to weld into a frame.
