Hi all,
Rnd 1 is fast approaching & entries are starting to flow in. Pre entries are a must rather than entries on the day, as our recent Club Day had 63 Seniors who didnt pre enter, now that's time consuming, when Clubs are on a time schedule to get the event underway & finished at a reasonable hour. The track will be looking good for the event & camping will be available on the Saturday night, gates will be open after 3pm. If you have any enquiries please call me on 0422 550 521

Dusted the cobbwebs off the suzooks (more like the remains of the Barrabool mud..) today and gave them a start. Looking forward to the weekend-if i can remember which side the throttle is on!!!! Not much in the way of ride time since, oh, about September i think! Lookin forward to catching up with the Viper crew.
-
All is looking for a good for this Sundays event, with over 60 entries so far, well done to all that have pre entered. For those slacko's who havent sent their entries in, you'd better ring me, because after tomorrow nights close of mail, I'll be running the program. Open All Powers Class is almost full ;D

Awesome First Round . Big Turnout and heaps of new bikes and Riders . Track was Good and Fast and Everything went like clockwork well done the Blue Rock Crew and all the Viper Crew had a ball thanks All .Hilly
-
Where's all the sheep it looks like NZud. ;D .thanks for the pics Paul, great day by the looks 8)
-
Yup. What a grouse day. New Viper formula works a treat (three rounds per class ;)) and a few of us found out that we'd bitten off more than we could chew with entering so many classes. :P
Well done to the Bluerock club for providing yet again another awesome track. Big thank you to Dawn Baker for putting everything together during the week when she's had a lot of other stuff going on as well and single-handedly doing the lap-scoring. You're a darling. :-*
As for the 465. What can I say? It's gotta be the hole-shot king. Gallons of power, fantastic suspension/handling and just tons of fun to ride. My only regret is that Arno now has himself one and I can see it's going to be a year of tussling with this smooth operator :D.
The competition just seemed to fade away......
KB (or "The dominator") as he's now known, blitzed the competition, Billet YZ rode some tough classes and Ian trophied in his first meeting in nearly nine years (and a coupla thousand beers :D).
Apologise's to Caps for filling the front of that nice new 480 in. He got back at me by sending his little brother out on some old crapper that went on to run into me all the way around the track..... :D
-
Indeed, a great day. Top job by the Blue Rock club & VIPER committee.
A huge thank you to Hilly for lending me his IT200 when my RM got a flat tyre. It would've been a very brief day for me otherwise.

Great Day, Great Event, Track was perfect.
A big shout out to the Baker clan. From what i was told Dawn was the sole lap scorer on the day. A true supporter of the Bluerock MCC and VIPER. Thanks Dawn, your a legend.
And for your husband, he's a bit of a sook. ;D
Caught him crying at the finish line, what's the go there?

He thought he was having a bad day losing a side-cover untill someone informed him that his Mega 2 had blown up......... :'(
-
Bugger, sorry to hear that Ken. you had done a rebuild not long ago too.
what happened to it?
so how did you forum blokes go then? give us a placing report
-
What could have been hey? 2 second overalls in two different classes. 1 class with no third gear after the first race, man it's hard to ride without third. The other class was a bit of a frustration, last race I needed to win as I had a 2nd and a 1st, with the other guy having a 1st & 2nd, so it was a shootout betwen us for the overall win. The whole row of gates on the RHS of the grid didn't drop! I was sitting on the line waiting for the red flag when the starter directed me around the gates with the rest of the field at the end of the straight and around the first corner! Head down bum up, rode like a madman and managed to get into third after the three laps with first & second not too far away, which put me 2nd overall. If only they were 4 lap races. I too must congratulate VIPER & the Blue Rock people. The track was unreal and I had a ball, although the speeding fine at 5:30am on the way down was a tad harsh.
Cheers,
K

Shut up you mongrels. Daryl decided to play footy rather than ride. Damn me saying it was his choice.
Blue Rock ALWAYS put on a good show and it sounds like this was no different.
Wish I could have been there but you cant be in two places at once. (Maybe someone could bulid a few racetracks next to country footy ovals, just a thought)
It's the first "Blue Rock" I've missed since starting Viper. Just as well, shoulder still stuffed & I probably would have rode if I was there.
Speaking of stuffed shoulders, was McMuffin there?
Well done Dawn & Ken. We need more people like you, in life, not just Viper/MotoX.
All things being just in the world I will see yas at Barrabool & dont forget Monza is locked in for September 12. (At this satge)

Yer fantastic day. Thanks to the Baker's , Bluerock MCC and our Viper committe.
Turn out was big ,track was awesome ( although I miss the double doubles on the uphill straight)
and the competition was intense.Great racing all round .There was a few get off's and a few mechanical DNF/S 's so the overall results were interesting.
Had a tough day myself but got 6 rounds to go to make good. Looking forward to it. :)

Yeah, Rod, I was totally rooted, after scrapping with that hard Maico Maniac Stuart Muntz. 3yrs is a longtime off a bike. Blue Rock is a bigtime balls out MX track, it really tests you out & I'm sure there is lots of sore bodies today. Stewie thinks he ran under a semi on the way home ;D ;D
The 490 has dropped a rod, it's my fault, didnt account for a 17yr old hotshot giving it the berries, got my jetting a tad wrong.
Hope everyone enjoyed the day, looks like we are heading back to the golden days of Viper. What a fantastic turnout & the factory Kawasaki 125 was awesome, a credit to Bumper. Hope someone took some photos of it.
PS: Someone mentioned on another thread, that Vic VMX was on a downhill slide, couldnt be further than the truth.
And Mrs Maico thanks Mrs Dodd for helping me out Lap Scoring yesterday.

Echo all comments on what a great day it was, thanks again to all who put in to make it happen. Great to actually be on a bike again, but i have to admit, i am a wee bit sore today.......(and i was a girl and only rode two classes.). Gunna take a while to get back in to it i reckon!
-
Had a ball what an awesome track, congrats to Bluerock mcc and Viper.
Big thanks to the fabulous Mr & Mrs Baker who made it all possible.
Special K nice overtake on the twisty downhill, you certainly looked like an expert class rider as you went bye.

Haha I think I'll actually have to hit the gym now Ross can't let you beat me again
-
Geezez. I'm still bloody sore! :o. What a great track. You don't realize just how hilly that joint is untill you look at the pictures of the place (or actually walk it). Big-bores really shine there. You just seem to be grabbing big handfull's of throttle everywhere. I did like the quads. It was cool to wave to a guy (who nearly sheared my front wheel off in the first turn) as I passed him jumping through them. The finish line step-up is pretty good too. There were some really grouse bikes there. How about that works bike of Bumpers? And how cool did Ian look?
What a great joint. Can't wait for The 'Bool! ;)

(http://This was my first Viper meeting)
Hey Ian, is that you in my pic? The bike and period-correct gear looked great!

Yeah I'm pretty stoked with it Rusty. I just keep walking out, looking at it and realizing there's nothing left to do to make it go quicker and walk back in with a big smile on my face :). I can understand why people don't like them running in Pre 85........ ;)
C'mon down for a Viper meet some time Rusty. We'd love to have ya. ;D
