Title: Honda Gurus 2
Post by: Rossvickicampbell on March 10, 2010, 02:20:36 pm
Gents - how much water should you be adding to an 83 250 CR (from empty) - I added to the filler neck, kicked over a couple of times to move the water pump and topped up - ended up with maybe 800-900mls?  Is that enough?

make sure to crack the bleed screw to allow any air out

as mentioned it shouldnt take any more than a litre to fill

That would be right Rossco, Don't be surprised if it kicks some of that out after the first ride. Rule of thumb (on my 84's) is about half an inch under the top of tank is the usually water level (approx half way to the core).

Air normally bleads out ok but when you fire it up remove the cap to see if you have good water flow.
