Title: XL250. MT250.
Post by: Quicksilver on August 01, 2007, 06:45:58 pm
Looking for XL250 or MT250 thats not been gutted for padock bashing. Headlight and tailight at least still on it. Wiring not chopped to bits.
Not chasing mint original or restored high priced bike garage queen. It will be used as daily transport, left in car park at work in all weather.
I dont mind having to do some work to get it up to worthy condition. Cosmetics not so important as i'll give it a lick of paint so it at least looks ok. Dont care seat cover is original or not.

A bike that runs.
Needs TLC but not basket case.

Freaky...... Be buggered its happened again. Life's not fair.  ;D. Next time your gunna sell a bike PM me first. lol.  ;D DT not my what im after mate. Im looking for something you dont see everyday on the road. Classic old trail bike.

Cyclegod.
same one been on before. Three times. I made him offer first he listed it ( Well included it in description with other bike he was selling a MT125) He said he had LOTS of interest, so was going to list it. He did list it for $1000, no one bid. Then again for $800, he ended it early..... Now its on again without pictures. Why no pictures? Different bike maybe hoping buyers will think its the same until it turns up.. I dunno????. Its enough to make me wary of the seller. Feedbacks not good either. Bit of a backyard dealer I think sells quite a few bikes.

If you are talking about the mt in qld, i have seen it myself and it looks in good nick. He seems to be worried about selling too cheap i think. Everything else seems to be ok with him.

I bought a YZ 50 tank off that bloke while I was visiting head office in Brisbane.  He seemed to be OK.  On the ad for the tank he was complaining about a number of non-payers.  Maybe that's what's going on.

My friends in Brisvegas wouldn't know bikes very well ( ???) so you are probably better off with 090.

Cheers

Sounds a bit like the threats you used to get after giving cheek, "I know where you live..............." ;)

Quicky,

My friend lives at Bald Hills (I stay with him when in Brisbane).  Banyo is not that far away either, we could possibly organise something.  The only think he couldn't do is look at it for you as he knows SFA about bikes.  How long do you have to pick it up after you settle ??  If he can wait until the 14th I can borrow my mates ute and do it myself.  May be able to check it for you as well, although I'm not a honda expert.

Sounds like 090 doesn't live that far away either.

Let me know what you want to do and we'll see if we can organise something.

Cheers  ;)

Geez mate you're in strife now  :D :D If your in big trouble i could probably help you out with those 2 big red ones or even a big yellow one  ;D ;D  I've always been a closet HLNB anyway.  Don't mind a touch of the yellow either.  But that can be our little secret OK?   :-X

With 25 others in the shed she'll never know ;)  Just tell her it was a jewelery purchase and it takes a while to arrive.  That'll give you some breathing space   8)

Gee H, reaching for a blokes top shelf.. Your a hard man. ;D ;D ;D.
Your not only one up your way after those. ;)

Its great fun, searching, finding and rounding up what you can, scoring great deals and ever increasing your "to do" piles, eventually you reach the point where its time to put some efforts and dollars into getting a few up to scratch and ready to race. Almost have CR250R ready and ive got open class covered already but theirs no way im riding in those classes until I get some time on 125.  Still searching for the pre 1975 125 MX'er. Soon as I get one it will be pull out all stocks to get it race ready.
