whats a good upgrade for early 80's RM's?

Try Honda ones - if they don't fit just buy a whole bike.

Late 90's pegs fit, you just have to drill out the pin holes in the frame mounts.

send your stock pegs to GMC - he will put wide pegs onto your original mounts and jobs done - good price compared to buying later model OEM as well.  It's the first thing I do now when I can talk the boss into letting me have a bike?
