years ago, some guy raced one of these for Alan Craig Suzuki in the Newcastle region with a white makeover/blue seat similar to yours.{Chris Wheeler i think?}
most people then, thought it was a KTM.

I like that rear mudguard. Nice work JJ.
Tex
-
Makes a nice change I reckon.
What sort of muffler is that?
-
Nice bike you Mincer!
Talk about Village People.
LOL
xx
-
Thanks Tex. The mudguard is just an MRobert trimmed down to fit.
27 The silencer is the British made DEP. Made to order at circa £90.
43. You can talk you sheep shagger.
Actually we had a leg of NZ Lamb for Sunday lunch last week.
I did wonder if you had been near it. I made sure it was bloody well done just in case your germs were on it.

JJ in hindsight I think your bike needs some Yamaha stickers.
PS I trust you like the tartare sauce with the NZ lamb

In all seriousness, she looks real nice.
My pleasure mate re the airbox, hey do you want a full floater sticker?
I have one spare mate.
-
Thanks mate.
No I have some floater stickers. That and zip tieing on the rear mudguard between the struts are the things to be done ;D
Oh and an air filter and a cage for the box which are on order. 84 85 KX500 fits perfect would you believe .
-
Wow! John, that looks great. How did you do the white tank? Are they Maier for guards? Your bike reminds me of the mid 80's watercooled TS250X that was available in white.
-
No worries.
Dirty old Kwacka eh!
Go get them at polesworth mate.
-
Dirty KX yeah
The fork guards are maier but they dont fit very well, a lot of trimming was needed on the brake side. The other side is just the bottom bit covering the clamp, the top part of the leg is covered by some white 50mm drain waste pipe, not perfect but its ok.
I made the rad scopps out of some plastic that has the same properties as genuine plastics so they should stand up to racing.
The front mudguard is a genuine suzuki 1981 guard but in white for some reason, I came across it on ebay for a couple of $US, no one wanted it.
It was the front mudguard that started me off on the idea.
I've just painted the tank, Its had fuel in for a month and not bubbled yet but it will in the end for sure, it'll wear off aswell but I've made a white tank cover for it, to be fitted yet. I lightly roughed it up then used plastic primer and car spray. I only really painted it to get a feel for the look. I haven't sealed it as I always intended to use a cover and didn't want to spend the dough on having it sealed when the paint will wear off anyway.

That plant in the corner can do with some water....................................................................

I'll get the wife on to it immediately Lozza.
-
That's the spirit ;D
-
Looking good....i like it!

Hey RMJJ the front number plate where did you get it,what brand is it?

Cool bike JJ reminds me of a tm 125 my older brother had back in 74' painted black tank (background for sponsors name)black sidepanels with white preston petty guards, just something different, still picture that bike really stood out in the pack, bet the x goes good too ;)
