I have wondered that myself Bill, my old Korean friends on Yong Do Island used to cast up turbocharger compressors making their own rubber mould.

Don't doubt you couldn't get 2000 of then from Guangxiou for $1.50 each. I have also thought about Fox Fork lowers at convenient 43mm diameter. Don't we have a friend with a CNC mill some place.

But why when a stock head will perform better? You could easily get them remanufactured in China but then they wouldn't be a "genuine FMF..............." and be stuck with 1998 of the little shitters  ;D ;D

Yeah I think the way to go is just to buy heads, forks and stuff as they come up at a reasonable price and chuck them in the corner, they usually end up on something. I picked up mint Simons forks and clamps for $400 the other a couple of months ago, and a few DG heads for $100, at that price you may as well grab them and sit on them for later.
