200ml per leg. They also recommend 20-50 engine oil  :o

Do you think they recommended 20-50 engine oil because it was pre fork oil days?

20/50 motor oil worked great (best) in Husky mag250 forks after trying all the modern fork oils & viscosities. You just have to change it regularly.
Cheers,

I've owned Maicos since 1970 and have never used anything other than ATF or Belray 15 grade fork oil and my forks work just dandy. I'd like to hear more about this 20-50 thing as it's never too late to try something different.

Brad are you talking about the external spring forks or the post '75 version?

Yes external spring aka square barrel. From my manual.
When did fork oil come in?
Wouldn't have been around in the early 70's.

10 and 20 wt hydraulic oil and ATF have been around for ever Brad. I did some enquiries as to what other Maico guys use both here and in the US and it mostly came out the same as me every time. 10 or 15wt oil and 220-230ml in each fork leg.
