Gents - just being a bit lazy - what coolant do you guys use for the 83 Model Hondas? Suitable for aluminium blah blah blah?
thanks

apparently the red coolant is the better for the magnesium casings it has something to do with the glycol in the green most car shops have it
hope that helps

Mate I use distilled water and drain after each ride, the coolants react between the magnesium, alloy & steel making a battery = electrolysis.
Distilled water has no particles well impurities and should be PH neutral. To drain means not to allow the water/coolant to become acidic. I also drop off the water pump cover if parking the bike for a while, oil the gaskets so they remove easily & don’t forget the barrel bung drain.
