has anyone got any genuine original T model PE side cover stickers on their PE side covers? doesnt matter what condition or if half is misssing. i just need a good photo or two and dimensions.
im working with some one in the UK and hes just about done full sticker kits for 80/81/82 PE's but before we print off the 1980 ones we want to be 100% sure the font and side cover stickers are exactly right. we have seen a lot of repo PE stickers out there that are totally not right and the aim is to get these exactly right. theres going to be a lot of interest in these so we want to make sure that these are going to be spot on right for everyone.
its just the T models side covers we would like extra confirmation that we got them right. Fabrice from france has come up with some details but we just want to double check it against a second source to be sure.
thanks

here is a sample of the 250 Z kit he made for me. i havent got it yet but it looks pretty good. i didnt ask for the JT oval thing but i think he includes them in all his kits

PM sent, thanks

Thanks for your effort searbs but the side cover with the sticker with white numbers on blue lines is a 81 X model. a PE with a manufactured date of 10/80 is a 81 X model. its still a good example of a orignal X sticker though.
can anyone else help out here? other wise i think i may just have to give the guy making the stickers the go ahead with what we have already
-
no worries,it may come in handy one day
-
it already has! they guy making the stickers wanted me to send him exact dimensions of the white '250' X logo so i took measurements/photos and sent it to him.
i think he has sent me back the 250 Z kit pictured above and some of my templates, so when i get that kit i can assess how good it really is when i see it in the flesh. all the X model kits will be done soon. i think he is just doing a little bit of tweaking to them to get them spot on as he wanted the exact dimensions/positioning of the 250 logo on the stripes. not real sure how the T models were going but we were hoping to get some details off some originals to be sure what we have is going to be right.

Mate I have just finished restoring a PE400X that oldfart sent over to me.Have restored it from top to bottom. The stickers were stuffed on it .What was left of them I took to our local sign writer and he took some photo's of them and made a set up and the end result is spot on and the cost was a $100 nz.
When I work out how to post photo's i will send some
-
Yes Stewart told me about yours. X stickers are not really a problem, its getting original T model stickers to copy that is the problem.
-

PE 400 X stickers

sorry to tell you this but the side cover stickers are wrong. the '400' logo is at the back when it should be at the front. this is the sort of stuff i dont want and have taken the time to make sure these will be made right.
it almost looks like the stickers are on the wrong sides and should be switched.
