Here's a unique piece of gear recently purchased by a friend in the USA. It's one of only 6 KR framed TT500s. The bike was featured in Cycle magazine in 1979 and is still exactly as it was back then. It's as trick as, adding to the KR frame is a White Brothers shock/swingarm, Simons forks, a Rob Muzzy built 540cc engine, Lectron carb, titanium everywhere, including the Muzzy exhaust. According to it's owner, the bike is indecently quick.

THe shopping list for a fast bikes is printed out for you onthe tank. QUite handy for your compeditors huh :O)
Why the big case breather hose ? and why does it need to go all the way down to the rear axle ???
Must have been ridden on a lot of Down hill left handers looking at the carb.

To oil the chain of course ;D

I'd own that one, apart from a real HL500 thats the coolist TT5 I've seen. 8)

Firko both my Yamaha 500s don't look anything like this one! If I stopped my daughters getting braces, my wife going o/s to visit her parents and gave up beer I might be able to build a replica in a couple of years.

Not sure I am in love with it, apart from the king (not Elvis) having ridden it, it doesn't seem to make sense to take an already heavy bike and then slap a monoshock at the top of it. Then have the carb hang like a spent dong and a K&N slapped on the end.
Seems light on engineering, though high on desirability due to its rarity.
The HL replica, GMC replica, Pro Tec, Ola Tec or otherwise has a much less back yard special look about it.

not much thought on the intake tract, would have fun trying to setup the float level too ;D ;D

Wow Marc I would have thought you'd love that bike.
Plenty of bling, and a major alteration to a standrd TT.
For mine its cool, you can't beat the King!!

KR also produced a gas pipe cowtrailer frame for the TT . There's likley to be a few of those around too.

Can't get past the inlet manifold mate, not saying I wouldn't like it, just saying it may not be a better mouse trap. Also the competition is a bit stiff, the HL is the perfect chassis for the TT500 motor, you would struggle to improve on it.

I have seen one of these in Brisbane. Not as original as that one but the same frame. They had adjustable rakes, either 27 or 29 degrees. The workmanship on the frames is A1. I wanted it pretty bad but he wanted big bucks.
