Title: '74 XL250 urgent question and X ref

G'day all,
Pressures on! Racing Sunday....I'm changing the clutch side engine cover on my 250 for a '78 model one. What I forgot was the advice of Paul (WA) about the need for the shorter kickstart spindle from the '78 model. ::)
Anyway does anyone have the Honda X Ref software.....as I need ta know if this spindle is common through other models??
Also slightly related, there seems to be 2 different gaskets for this side cover: There is a cast in (cresent shaped??) oil well/gallery down around the drain plug area, the old gasket has this largely blocked off with a hole in the gasket..the new one is totally open over this area.....any advice??

I've seen that but I don't think it X references....does it??
Just looking at their site I'm also thinking that I'm looking for maybe a '76 or '77 model spindle.....It's from the "ugly" model 250...think it came in red/black or yellow/black?? try and put up a pic later.

If you go to the site you can choose which model as it has all models. Check the same part for the same part number.
