Hi All
we are putting together a ride with Bill and Boylee of SCAR Tours, it will be a one day blast thru the Kenilworth ranges, about 150 klm's of the best single lane enduro riding you will ever get to do!
the date is the 1st May leaving from Kenilworth park, cost is $200 with $150 of that going striaght to Magoo and family, the other $50 is needed for Forestry, MQ permits and support vechicle costs, all you have to bring is spare fuel and we will do a bush bbq for lunch.
you must have a registered enduro bike and be licenced,
looking at getting 20 riders in total with only six places left, so if your a keen rider and want the blast of a lifetime as well as helping a top bloke, give me a call to book your spot.
Cheers Trev( worms)

The ride will take place on the 1st May, leaving from the park opposite the Kenilworth Showgrounds, departure time is 7.30 am, I know it's really early for you Honda riders! Everyone, don't forget to bring your spare fuel to go in the support vehicle as you will need it, unless you have a safari tank like Dougie which would get you to Perth and back, The ride could be between 140 to 170 klms depending on how many times you fall off, which I'm sure will happen just as everybody else turns up!
We will do a BBQ lunch somewhere in the hills, Chef Steve( scar tour groupie) will have the snags cooking for us at lunch time,( note to self, Steve is the man that retrieves damaged bikes and soles from places never seen before, be nice to Steve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys,
Went out yesturday and punched through a hole heap of nasty, lantana infested, gorilla snott covered logs and errosion rutted hills for you all ;D
It's premo conditions out there at the moment, cant wait
Bill.
-
shit Bill, I told all these guys it was a dirt track ride with a few bumps in it, isnt Lantana that shit that cuts you to bits even by looking at it, it's gonna be slaughter, lambs to the wolves type of ride, oh well, if we lose some there will be less at the race meet on Sunday ;D
yep, (sweet revenge to any National title holders)
Cheers Trev, oh i might regret that last bit 8)
-
What happens in the bush, stays in the bush ;)
It's alright we'll only be doing a couple of tiny little undulating hills ::)

great to see you onboard Noel!
The ride is full now, and i would like to thank all the guys, because your a top bunch of blokes. You never know when you may need a bit of a helping hand in life and it's amazing how you all jumped onboard, I can assure you we have done something special for the great man and his family!
Yes I even mean you Honda riders, TOP BlOKES all round!
Bill might have some more news about the ride soon!
Cheers Trev, Worms
-
I just wanted to have a bit of fresh air, other than the other topic that is ruling all the pages(HBBBB)
Well i'm excited about the ride, cant wait, and i would like to say sorry to anybody that i have upset in the past, mainly any Honda riders, for any jokes that i have made,( even if they are true) about Honda Riders, and this only extends to those on the tour! I am trully sorry for any hurt i may have caused, so please dont use me for traction or roosting as i arnt getting any younger and my 450 seems to get heavier and harder to pickup with my frail body, so lets start a fresh MATES!!!!!!!!
Cheers Trev
-
"A few undulating hills"? You know, I remember the days of the enduros around kenilworth in the 70s, and the hills weren't exactly 'undulating'... Didn't Kel Wearne split a CanAm in half there once?
Sounds like... fun! ;D
-
Hi guys,
Update on the ride so far.
Big news is that we have Ann, Ally, Daniel and Amy attending the ride as VIP's. They will be following the tour with T'Rev's missus in a support vehicle and will meet up with us at smoko and lunch!
Then at the completion of the ride we will have a BBQ and drinks so we can all socialise together.
It is such an honour to have Ann and the kids to come up and finally meet the "Crazy QLDr's" ;D and put faces to the infamous names! ::)
This is going to be a fantastic day of events and it will be a privilage to host you all.
Can all riders be at the Kenilworth Show grounds NLT 0715hrs to ensure we get under way on time
Timings for the ride are
NLT 0715 meet at Kenilworth Show Grounds
0715-0745 Sign-on
0745-0800 Riders breifing, Formal introductions
0800-0815 Tour begins
0815-1600 Sample the gentle undulating hills and wonderful easy going trails of the Kenilworth hinterland ;)
1600-whenever BBQ and drinkies, bench racing and tales of woe! :'(
Riders will need to bring own fuel (enough to do 180klms), drinks and trail snacks during ride, sufficent tools and spares to carry out basic repairs and maintenance (min 1 tube and wheel nut spanners)
Our sweep riders do carry a limited amount of spares mainly for our own usage. The support vehicle and trailer follows our tours and will transport fuel, food, water and back-up spares.
Lunch will be provided by us and will be a "Sausage sizzle" in the bush.
The BBQ at the completion of the ride, venue TBA, Food supplied by us, BYO drinks and snacks!!
T'Rev will e-mail our standard ride indemnity and riders details forms to you all, please print them out and fill in the details, to be handed in at sign-on this will speed up the process to ensure an early departure.
Big Bill. :)

-
Brett and I were out riding at Kenilworth yesterday (well every where actually we started at Caboolture) and the only concern with this pack of rides (after all the rain seems crazy to say this but) will be dust!!!
Sould be a good day and looking forward to it. Great that Ann and the kids could make the trip.
-
Hi Shane,
Bill and Boylie are going to drop two riders at every cnr, which will help with the size of the group, staying mainly to single lane also drops the dust and the other thing we can all do is use that funny thing called a brake!!!! 8) do you remmeber where it is, that funny lever near the throttle, just squeeze it occasionally, and the forcast is for more rain right thru April, so it could be wet yet and we will do a few creek crossings!!
yes looking at the group, all top riders fast as ( except me, if my nickname wasnt worms it would have been snail), but we will slow it down so middle of pack guys dont get smashed all day, so it will be spread out.
Cheers Trev( you dont need a speed shutter to get a photo of me, worms)
-
ha ha very funny ;D
i will get ribbo to carry my bike and me up the hills
i think you have been too nice
lots of nice guys there ;D ;D

yep, ya right Rusty, so ive changed it for ya
Cheers Trev
-
The Kenilworth ranges are going to be primo riding, more rain today with another week of showers to follow! I will email riders forms out this week, so fill them out and make sign-on easy for Boylie.
Thanks again for the great support from everyone.
Cheers Trev
-
I just come in here to talk to myself, 8)
32 blokes heading into the scrub, how many shall return? ;D
what will Brad the Slut ride, bet you it's a Yamaha( see other thread for his nasty comments)
i can assure all, any goat or sheep herders :-* will be sorted out from the rest of the pack early, the grounds wet as and we should be knee deep in mud all day, hope you can all swim.
Cheers T'rev, Worms KTM
-
I am going to roost you so bad. You will be eating mud as well as your bad words. You won't be worming your way out of it either.
-
I'm jealous. Have FUN.
-
It is true though ???, Mr(closet)Yamaha enduro rider. :o
First, one must be in front to roost another :-*
Cheers T'rev, Worms love mud ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
this is gunna be one great ride ;D ;D :-*
-
Hi All
Last of the details for Magoo's ride, please find attached riders forms ( see email to riders), if you can have these filled out prior and ready for Boylie, will make things a lot faster on the day, as I know some just cant wait to roost me,( closet Yamaha riders) so it will get us on track sooner and make them happy.
With all the rain we have had the tracks will be primo and as Bill says" we're gona have a fat time"
To be serious for a moment, not usual for me, the group of guys that have come together for the ride are a very mixed bunch of racers and enduro riders, so lets all leave our RACE faces at home for this one and remember as your filling me in, why we are here, things happen a lot faster in the bush and we want all riders to enjoy their day and finish safely!
Can all riders be no later than 7.00 am at Kenilworth, Bill has organised someone to watch over our gear while we are riding and we will do a few beers and snag ( wieners for some)or two for our return before we all head off.
DONT FORGET TO BRING EXTRA FUEL AND CARRY SNACKS IN YOUR BACKPACK FOR BREAKS IN THE DAY.
Looking forward to a great days riding!
Cheers T'rev, worms
-
All the best for the day.
-
Thanks Snowy, i might be a squashed worm by the end of it (by a closet Yamaha rider :-*) but hey it's well worth it!
Cheers Trev, remmeber all, the early bird gets the worm.
-
And remember also, that worms are found in bums !!!!!
-
dare i ask?
This whole closet thing just might stick ;D, are you ready to come out yet :-*
I see not once have you admitted it, denial will not save you.
Cheers Trev, i would much rather be the worm and not the ar--hole ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Being an arse hole is a state of mind. Better than swimming in shite!
For the record , everybody knows I am a bike whore and Yamaha DID make a good bike. Too bad it wasn't till 1998 though. Took 'em a while. :P
Cant wait till next weekend.
-
Hey Brad, you doing Coles Creek the next day?
-

Cheers Trev, worms on edge

Well here we are, 5 days to go till we get SCARed, please remmeber to bring extra fuel and wear dark coloured jocks, forecast is for fine weather, 25deg.
I have decided that I shall forgive those who only want to squash, run over,or use me for traction, so you'll be right sir Brad A Lot, you can come out now and your sideshow alley mate, cant get me leg over, Wiltec.
All is forgiven ;D for now!
Cheers trev , Worms ( wonder why I dont have many friends)
-
D-DAY IS HERE ;D.
to be serious for a change.
The Obi Obi rd to Kenilworth has been closed due to a landslide, will be closed for an indefinate period so if your coming you must go via Eumundi or Maleny, do NOT go via Mapleton at this point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will give an update tomorrow!
Cheers Trev, it will be a sea of orange KTM's, just dont call me Hari, Worms
-
Thanks for the traffic report T'Rev ;D
Just an update on the ride boys,
At this stage we will probably ride through until 11.30a.m. and have a late smoko/early lunch. This will be a "Devonshire Tea Party" in the Bush. Comprising a fine selection of cakes, slices and various fruits.
If you feel that you may be a starv'n Marvin and may faint before lunch ???, put a couple of muesli bars ect in your back pack ;).
We will probably complete the ride around 3-3.30 p.m. and have the BBQ at the end of the ride, giving a descent break between meals. Also it will give us time to socialise and have a few coldies, allowing time for those continuing to Coles Ck sufficient daylight to get there and set-up camp.
T'Rev has sent out the forms for the ride pls ensure you fill them out and hand them in at sign-on.
Looking forward to "smmaaasshiing" you all :D.
Bill. :)

A couple of forum members stuck on "the hill". Slippery sucker. I think Holeshot caused the traffic jam! (on the Keep Taking Money)

Here is a video on the ning site of Ribbo the one man wrecking machine. Seeing as Bruce isn't with us any more to take the piss out of Darren, I thought I'd pick up the baton and run with it. On saturday it was a TM450 that felt the wrath of destructo. He then backed it up early on the Sunday with a 'smack down' type get off on a poor unsuspecting KTM500. The 500 bled coolant which ended its day early. To which destructo's comment was "my work here is done" and turned his attention to the barbie. The barbie survived.
