Title: 2010 Classic Dirt (The Real Schedule)

At the 2009 event when i turned up on the Friday i found that most, if not all, the camping area's down behind the start line had been occupied. To be able to secure a place in that area, what day/time would you have to arrive at the track to get a reasoable site?
Suggestions please.

Hi - that's the right answer, as there's absolutely no access to the complex on Thursday (except for staff etc).

Thanks Guys,
Last year was rather testing. Having driven from Melbourne we were directed to 2 different camping spots before the bunting was moved to cover some extra ground, albeit in the middle of the lowland where the ute got bogged.
Tempers and frustration settled and finally we were able to settle into the CD way of life. This year we want to plan to ensure that we don't repeat our errors of 2009. I'll be at the gate @ 10:00am or therabouts as advised.

Although 10am might be a bit late if you want a prime spot........we will probably open the gates on Friday morning at 7.30am as we did last year.  The opening time, and the complete schedule for the weekend, will be finalised shortly.
