Discount entries close 3rd Sept--final close 22nd Oct --NO LATE ETRIES.
Eligibility for Vinduro has been opened up to MX bikes [no lights required] still Evo & earlier. We may split classes END/MX and/or Evo/Pre78 depending on entries.
Note--if your team is not finalised you can enter now & nominate you team-mate when known [up to close of entries] ,or enter "find me a team" & we'll hook you up.
The Vinduro course will be "more friendly" than the Enduro ,but an Evo bike could also go in the Enduro to get more value for your money.
Bikes can be shared ,but of course a bike each is better. A rider can only enter in one team in each event.

Masters Games----we've now included a class for "trail" bikes within the overall Vinduro for standard trail models [not modified for motocross ]. Entries are very encouraging & so far exceeding expectations.

Vinduro entries are coming in nicely ,but Enduro 2-man team entries are flooding in & will almost certainly need to be capped.
If you are plannig a 2-man Enduro team ,I suggest you get your entry in asap to avoid disappointment. 3&4 man team entries are manageable at this point.

Title: Re: Masters Games - scrutineering query
Post by: oz_strom on October 18, 2010, 04:15:41 pm
Sorry for the dumb question - but I haven't raced in 15 years.

Do I need clutch and brake levers with intact ball ends to pass scrutineering? (mine are both broken off but still serviceable).  Anything else to watch for for scrutineering on the Vinduro bikes?

Thanks

Final count for Vinduro is 28 teams [56 riders] , Enduro 55 teams [144 riders] .Unfortunately quite a few didn't understand the meaning of "no late entries".

this may already have been answered but
"yes"
you need the balls on the end of your levers, brakes working, footpegs folding, throttle returning, handlebar ends plugged etc
a tidy bike is a happy bike ;)

Well just returned from a great weekend of riding at the masters games the vinduro and enduro was fantastic.  The track and weather conditions were perfect and well worth the drive from Sydney. The Motox on Sunday was great but I felt a little flat as I had used most of my energy on Saturday. Really enjoyed racing the sidecar with my new driver but a leaking crank seal was making it hard to get off the line quickly congratulations to Jamie and Wayne who won and a mention to Dave and Helen who raced thier new sidecar which they had just picked up 2 days before and managed to crack 2 ribs on one of the jumps but rode the rest of the day in quite a bit of pain to get 3rd place.
I would also like to thank Col and Alan and all the girls and guys that gave up endless days and nights to put the event on and letting the sidecars have a go. Looking forward to the next Mastersgames in 2012

Yes the Masters Vinduro was a fantastic event.  The only problem now is that we in Qld have had a taste of it and want more.

Are there any enduro clubs in SE Qld that have regular enduros, or are there any Vinduro events planned in this area for 2011 ?

Thanks Col and Allan and the team for the countless hours and effort to set up the Masters.

A big sigh of relief --it's over. Some glitches with Vind/End scoring for which we apologise [and thank those that have been patient]
All done now and medals on their way.Kirk Hutton's [and some others] speed through the mud and trees was amazing.I ghess that's why he has the No 1 plate.Congrats to all those novices who battled through and made the event what it's meant to be.

Alan & I attended the Convenor's [ in name for organiser] Masters lunch on Friday, and were rapped to hear our event won the award for the biggest % increase in entries from 2008 of the "non mainstream " sports. So all of you who rode can take a bow [Al & I will take the prize]. Enduro & MX numbers were well up on 2008 ,but of course Vinduro really bumped it up.
